And finally - test your clone.

• From the Apple icon, select Restart. Hold down the Alt (Option) key until you see your internal disc and your new clone appear.
• Select your firewire disc and click the arrow underneath to start from it.
• Your Mac should start from the firewire drive. Your desktop will look identical - it's a clone - but the startup will probably be slower than from your internal hard disc.
• If all goes well, choose Reatart from the Apple menu again but allow the machine to start normally i.e. don't hold down any key. It will start from your internal drive.
